The “Yenikapi Transfer Point And Archaeo-Park Area International Preliminary Architecture Project” work which is based on a protocol that had been signed between Boğaziçi Engineering Consultancy Inc. (BIMTAS) and Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture Agency on 22.10.2010; alienated to Directorate of Projects in Department of Study and Projects of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality afterby Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture Agency accomplished its offical duties. The process between dates of 08.09.2011 and 17.10.2011, a set of revisions have also been realised concerning the process of the Project by the Administration.
- The official web site of the Project “www.yenikapiurbandesign.com” was reactivated on 17.10.2011 to accept the applications.
- Project applications have been uploaded to the web site of the project between the dates 17.10.2011 and 20.11.2011 from the official web of “www.yenikapiurbandesign.com” and “42” multi-national and multi-disciplinary Project teams completed their applications successfully.
- Between the dates of 21.11.2011 and 27.11.2011, project’s technical committee members/rapporteurs completed the preliminary evaluations, identifications and classifications of the 42 multi-national Project teams’ materials.
- At the first meeting of the Evaluation Committee Members on 28.11.2011 Prof. Dr. Süha ÖZKAN has been designated as the Chief of the Evaluation Committee by the committee members complete approval.
- On 28.11.2011, Evaluation Committee Members, Technical Committee Members and rapporteurs visited the project site. They have been briefed by the professionals of the İstanbul Museums of Archaeology, Istanbul University Faculty of Literature, Department of Pre-historia and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality’s Directorate of Rail Systems.
- Between the dates of 28.11.2011-30.11.2011 Evaluation Committee Members evaluated the “Team Structures, Team Portfolios, and Design Approaches/Vision Reports” of the 42 multi-national and multidisciplinary Project teams accurately.
On 30.11.2011, the members of the Evaluation Committee determined the 9 Project Teams listed below after the rounds of accurate evaluations.
